GTA V Game Review

Grand Theft Auto V is a very popular open-world game made by Rockstar Games. In this game, you can freely move around a big city called Los Santos, which feels like a real-life city with cars, people, shops, and traffic.

The game has three main characters: Michael, Franklin, and Trevor. Each one has a different story and personality. You can switch between them while playing, which makes the game more interesting.

The gameplay is very smooth. You can drive cars, ride bikes, fly planes, shoot enemies, and do missions. You can also just explore the city if you don’t want to follow the story.

The story is about crime, money, and survival. It is fun to play because each mission feels different. Some missions are serious, and some are full of action and chaos.

The graphics are still good even after many years. The city looks detailed, especially at night with lights and traffic. The sound and music also make the game more enjoyable.

There is also an online mode where you can play with other players. You can do heists, buy properties, and earn money, but sometimes it feels a bit slow to progress.

Trevor feels a like a bit of a get-out-of-jail-free card for Rockstar, providing an outlet for all the preposterous antics and murderous behaviour that otherwise might not fit in with GTA V’s narrative ambitions. I found his violent insanity a little overblown and tiresome at first. As get-out clauses go, though, it’s pretty effective, and Trevor’s over-the-top missions are some of GTA V’s action-packed highlights.

It’s a successful way of solving a problem that’s prevalent in open-world games: the tension between the story that the writers are trying to tell, and the story you create yourself within its systems and its world. Grand Theft Auto V accommodates both, masterfully, allowing neither to undermine the other.

Story & Characters

The story mixes crime, satire, and dark humor. Michael represents a retired criminal life, Franklin is trying to rise from poverty, and Trevor brings chaos and unpredictability.

The writing is sharp, and cutscenes are well-directed, almost like a movie.
